HOMO FABER
Parabolik Guerilla Théâtre travaille dans l’ombre pour présenter sa nouvelle création, HOMO FABER.

HOMO FABER met en jeu les mécanismes du corps et les organes de reproduction de la société. Plongeant les spectateurs dans une atmosphère technologique, organique et onirique, la scène prend des allures de théâtre anatomique où le « vivant » passe au bistouri. Par une traversée du corps topologique, HOMO FABER tente de transgresser les frontières séparant matière et pensée, intériorité et extériorité, individu et société, réel et imaginaire. Combinant poétiques corporelles et nouveaux médias, il articule une sémantique globale qui implique lumière, son, corps et concepts en un seul geste continu.

HOMO FABER
Parabolik Guerilla Theatre is currently hard at work on a new large-scale theatre production: HOMO FABER.
· A first version will be presented in February 2010 at Aux Écuries, Montreal.
· Homo Faber is also booked for Elektra Festival in May 2010, at Usine-C, Montreal.
Homo Faber is an experimental media-enhanced theatrical performance that juxtaposes the inner organic mechanisms of the human body with the organs of social reproduction (which in turn produce the body from without). The performance takes place in the context of a factory resonating with the slogans and arguments of a corporate video. The factory is inhabited by automaton humans conditioned by the mechanisms of production. A strange and troubling tension surfaces between the mechanical and the organic, the oneirical and the real, but also between the organism and the disease that obscure’s its future. Incorporating mechanized set design, live video and audio manipulation, and interactivity between the performers movements and their environment, Homo Faber nevertheless develops a symbolic universe that stimulates philosophical reflection.
