In this now sacred video Blue Hitler made his first aesthetic appearance in my art. Blue Hitler is the horrific vision that fascism is essential to human existence. He is the only ethical approach to understanding the holocaust, that is, by accepting the atrocities of Auschwitz as the will of the human in general. He is a direct answer to Adorno’s idea that poetry was not possible after Aushwitz. For it is by externalizing the holocaust that we give it potential to return. It is by creating the category of Evil that we veil its history in our shadows and carry it with us to our next tragic genocide. Fascism does not end with Hitler. It continues and breeds in all meaning, in all $ense. Blue Hitler represents the affirmation of this dictator who resides in every one of us, but who is also the part of us that is capable of annihilating subjectivity and thus liberating us from our submission to the reason.
